Here’s a project to get a head start on! There are so many memories tied to the advent calendar that we had when I was a child. It was a must have tradition for my own children. I love this calendar because it incorporates many mini embroidery designs. So many designs can be made festive by just using the right thread colors.
I have recently been involved in costuming a show. One of the scenes was from the Mad Hatter. Check out the hat!!! As a small thank you to those that helped with the costumes, I made these ITH Mad Hatter sachets from pieces of the costumes with grape scented potpourri. Grape seemed appropriate, not sure why!
This is my new favorite blanket type to stitch on. The effect is crisp and clean. The monogram frame can be found in my shop. (Leaf Monogram Frame)
Easter Table Runner for Grandma
My mother-in-law enjoys seeing her grand kids in every corner of her life. Perfect for Easter is this table runner with an embroidered bunny and name to represent each of her 22 grandchildren. This table runner was at Target for $3. Add trim and you have a great Easter gift for grandma! Happy Easter All!
My kids have been adopted by what I lovingly call the “Sugar Grandma.” She brings them gifts for Christmas and on their birthdays and spoils them while their own grandmas live far away. Sometimes she even spoils me. Take a look at what she spotted for me in a second hand store.
Apparently it wasn’t the most popular machine of it’s day, but it is a beauty!
