Festive Wreath Font Frame
I’m excited about the new Festive Wreath Frame perfect for Christmas, weddings or other holidays. Add a monogram to make it personal. I love how changing up the colors completely changes the look.
“Oh Grommet!” is costume room talk. I’ve been busy working on costumes for a big show. One of the tasks was 250+ grommets in belts. When frustration set in, “Oh Grommet” came out.
These dish towels are a little reminder for the other costume mamas of the fun we had and the hours upon hours that we spent making the show come together.
The Teacher’s Chair
My daughter has an amazing teacher! Her theme this year is: Yet. When the students say they can’t do something or are fearful of something new, she’ll tell them, “You just don’t know how to do it YET.” She also had YET in big letters popping out of her classroom wall. The teacher asked me to embroider the theme on her director’s chair for the students to have a constant reminder. (I apologize for a semi-blurry picture.)
Baby Quiet Book
Although time consuming, I love making books for babies with feel appeal. I’ve tried to come up with ways to cut back on some of the time-sucking elements like sewing the pages together and then flipping them right side out and stitching them again. I used Extra Firm Stabilizer on these. Felt would also work. Applique allows lots of fun fabric to be incorporated in the book. I love that there was an extra page at the end to add a mirror. Welcome to the world sweet Adeline!
Scrappy Ruffle Bag
If you are like me, you have a mountain of scraps so scrappy projects are necessary to relieve the build up. I used a striped fabric to line this bag that helped guide me to sew the ruffles on straight. Seemed to work pretty well. It would also work to draw lines on an existing canvas bag to stitch ruffles to. Can one have too many ruffles?
Teacups Machine Embroidered Kitchen Art
I love the simplicity of running and motif stitches throughout a design. They stitch quickly and are very versatile.
Teacups are also another favorite. They are delicate and pretty! These are stitched on broadcloth and then mod podged to a small stretched canvas. Hot glue trims on the edges.
Much of what you will see on my website are mini embroidery designs. I love them because they are quick to stitch and great to add a little something personal to monograms or text. I have seen them used in so many awesome ways! Here are a few examples to get the wheels of creativity turning.
More ideas are sprinkled throughout my website. Most of these projects were done by my sweet friend.
My 11 year old daughter has caught the sewing bug! She loves elephants and has been wanting to stitch some. She found a pattern on Etsy. Look how cute her elephants turned out!
