Mini Animal Train Design Set

Mini Animal Train Design Set

Bibs are fun and easy to personalize.  Start with some fabric and ribbon that you would like to incorporate.  I found red corduroy in the depths of my fabric bin that I will be using on the back.

I stitched white flannel to the star fabric before I cut out the bib.  My bib pattern is old and worn but I just keep using it!  It’s a keeper!

Personalize the bib to your heart’s content!  I have used my new Mini Animal Train Set.

A shout out to Kim at www.etsy.com/shop/LakeTimeCrafts for the suggestion for the mini animal train. You’re the best!

Tutti Fruity Baby Shower Gift

Tutti Fruity Baby Shower Gift

My favorite kind of invitation is to a baby shower!

I had these little fruit stuffed toys that I whipped up one day, all In the Hoop.  The baby does not have a name yet, so I added text on the bibs with fruit appliques.

Target had some adorable wood boxes in their dollar section and voila, Fun Fruity baby gift!

Merry Christmas

We wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and safe travels. Spend this holiday season with friends an family. If you don’t have any around, take the time to help those in need and make them your friends. When you are feeling a little down, the best pick me up is to get out and help somebody in need.

Coloring Embroidery Designs

Coloring embroidery designs is a cute way to add something new to your embroidery. You can turn the first embroidery into the second embroidery by following the instructions below. (This works best with applique designs)

  1. Sew your applique without putting fabric inside the applique.
  2. Use regular crayons to color in the areas to you desired color.
  3. Find a scrap piece of fabric, place on top of your design and iron it. This adds vibrancy to the design.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to make the colors stand out even more.

The more you repeat steps 2 and 3 the darker the colors will be. Try different combinations of colors and layers to see how creative you can be.
